The business owner's personal tax liabilities may include income taxes, sales & use taxes, property taxes, and more. Jeanine can help you, your co-owners, and employees with required tax return preparation and/or review. Additionally, you may get assistance with withholding certificates if you are an employee or estimated tax calculations if you are an independent contractor, investor, or other individual required to make estimated tax payments.
Please be aware that ALL of your income is REQUIRED to be reported on your income tax returns UNLESS specifically excluded under the US Tax Code. This applies to cash tips received. Per the IRS: "Report all income. Taxpayers must report their income from all sources, including the gig economy, Forms W-2, Wage and Tax Statements, and Forms 1099. Other income may be reportable as well, even if the taxpayer does not receive a statement." Some workers receive so-called "under the table" income from employers and clients, but these amounts are supposed to be reported on your income tax returns. The easiest way to report cash payments received as remuneration is to enter it on a Schedule C and Schedule SE on your Form 1040. If payments are for a business, show them as part of your gross receipts.
